Electric platforms, series VR-EP, are designed for transporting loads at short distances. They are reliable for operation on solid and flat surface and ambient temperature between -25 and +35o C.
General purpose electric platforms, series VR-EP, are vehicles with load capacity 2 and 3 tons and draw force up to 2500 N.
Platforms could also be offered with a cabin – plastic (automotive-like) or metal one. The cabin is steady and reliable. Windows are double-side sealed; side windows can be opened for ventilation; there is a windscreen wiper on the front one. Driver compartment is conditioned by a heater.

Chassis
Chassis It is a welded construction, made by hot-rolled steel bars, strengthened with cross-members, providing reliable fixing of the components and modules. Its design gives free approach for maintenance and ensures long life of the truck itself.
The lighting system is in accordance with domestic and European requirements and allows driving in roads and on working area, also.

Steering
The front steering axle is suspended on ball joints. Rubber shock-absorbers provide smooth motion when the machine rolls over road bumps.
The construction covers large angle of turning the steered wheels thus enabling minimal turning radius and high maneuverability of the platform.
Steering gear is mechanical, consisting worm hypoid gear, fixed to the Steering axle.
The diameter of the Steering wheel and the gear ratio allow handy and effortless steering during motion.

Drive axle
The Drive axle is suspended to the Chassis by two longitudinal elliptic leaf springs.
The traction motor lies parallel of the rear axle. Torque transfers to the driven wheels via 2-stage main spur gear, symmetrical bevel differential gear and full-free half-shafts.

Electric system
Control of the series VR-EP electric platforms is of relay-resistor indirect type. The traction motor is DC series type.
Five-stage - for VR-EP 2000 and six-stage – for VR-EP 3000 controllers ensure excellent dynamic advantages – easy and smooth drive off (either loaded or unloaded) – and protect the battery.
The electric platforms are standard equipped with pasted-plate batteries, but by request could be equipped with traction tubular-plate batteries.

Model Traction battery
Tension, V Capacity, Àh
VR-EP 2000 2 x 40 160
VR-EP 3000 2 x 40 280

The battery enables full-duty operation for about 6 – 8 hours. Standard electric system includes:

• beam headlights and tail beams;
• direction indicators;
• brake-lights;
• back up alarm;

Amber flashing beacon on the top of the cabin is an option.
A capacity indicator reading the state of the Battery and direction indicator warning lights are placed on the Control panel.

Brake system
Electric platforms are equipped with drum brakes built in the driven wheels. Brakes can be operated in two independent ways – hydraulic (operational) by the brake pedal and manual, for parking, by a lever.
Pressing brake pedal switches off the electric circuit which controls the traction electric motor thus protecting batteries against overloading.
