The forklift truck building is a traditional branch for Bulgarian industry. The enterprises in this sphere are mainly concentrated in Plovdiv and the region. In the 70 and 80-es of the last century, a strong infrastructure was built up here for satisfying the needs of the forklift truck industry and it still exists and works up till now.
The company “V&R” Ltd. was established in 1991 by Zhelyasko Vichev and Nikola Rusinov. In the beginning, the activity of the company included repair works and service of lifting equipment. “V&R” Ltd. drew in ones of the leading Bulgarian specialists from the former largest truck building enterprise “Record” - Plovdiv, which was a part of the “Balkancar” system.
In 1998 we started designing and manufacture of own models engine-driven trucks under the trade mark V&R. In 2000 the company began to develop of own design electric forklift trucks and electric platforms. The design of our machines is a result of the cooperation with the studio for industrial and automobile design ,,WESFOT”-Sofia. The design is elegant and corresponding to the operational features of the equipment.
In 2001, our electric platforms, series VR-EP, were awarded a gold medal at the 57-th International Technical Fair in Plovdiv. The electric forklift trucks, series VRE and the diesel forklift trucks, series VRD, represented by the model VRD-35 Cab, were awarded a gold medal at the 58-th International Technical Fair, in 2002
In time of 2002 – 2004, the company protects its production and owns six Certificates for Industrial Design for the territory of Bulgaria and three similar Certificates for Russia.
In 1998 the company developed a new branch in its main activity - manufacture of solid printed circuit boards, design and production of electronic elements.

In 2003 ,,V&R” Ltd. formed a new specialized group for designing and engineering of equipment for food industry and stainless steel tanks for production of alcohol and soft drinks, pharmaceutical and cosmetics products.
In 2004 the activity of the company was certified according to ISO 9001:2000 by BVQI SA – London
