The general purpose electric forklift trucks (FLT), series EV, are hoisting & hauling equipment range including EV 687, EV 717 and EV 735 models, with load capacities 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 tons, respectively.
Ergonomics
The operator’s space meets present-day ergonomic requirements and provides good view for driving load handling. The seat is anatomically adjustable, spring suspended and with hydraulic shock-absorber. The pedals are located in automotive order. A free approach to particular assemblies is provided.
Chassis
It is a welded construction, made by hot-rolled steel bars, strengthened with cross-members, providing reliable fixing of the components and modules. Its design gives free approach for maintenance and long life of the truck itself.

Steering
Steering could be mechanical or powered. EV 687 has manual steering with worm hypoid gear, fixed to the Steering axle, a driveshaft and a single conical gear, fixed to the chassis. EV 717 and EV 735 have powered steering with hydrostatic booster, model HU 85-011. The hydraulic pressure for the booster is provided by a particular gear pump, model A036X or A072X, respectively, driven by a separate electric motor having own power of 1.25 kW. The cylinder of the hydraulic booster is mounted on rubber bumps, thus avoiding shocks being transmitted to the steering wheel. In case of a power failure in the electric system the FLT could be steered by without the servo, as well. |
| Drive axle
It is a heavy cast steel body holding main drive and differential gear. The traction electric motor is fixed to the axle immediately. It is a DC motor specially designed for heavy-duty work cycle, with 30% overload ability.

Electric system
Control of the series EV forklift trucks is relay-resistor indirection type. Five-stage - for EV 687 and six-stage – for EV 717 and EV 735 controllers ensure excellent dynamic advantages – easy and smooth drive off (either loaded or unloaded) – and protect the battery.

| Brake system
The brakes are hydraulic powered and the brake assembly is small thus advancing good ergonomics in the driver’s compartment. Pressing brake pedal switches off the traction electric motor. A parking brake manually operated.

Lifting mast
It is a two- or three-stage welded construction made of hot-rolled high-strength profile steel.
It could be three types:
Simplex - It provides wide view for the operator. It consists of two-stages, two hydraulic cylinders on both sides of the static mast, low free lift.
Duplex - It consists of two-stages, central hydraulic cylinder, full-free lift.
FLT are generally equipped with forks that could be replaced by various other attachments for specialized or enhanced use – side-shifter, fork positioner, rotating devices, clamps, fork extensions, etc.
